Healthcare & Medication

The proprietor Joy Collins has been on a training course at one of the FAB training catteries ensuring that Topcat Cattery will be run to meet the highest standards of hygiene and healthcare. Joy is a qualified veterinary nurse, animal warden, dog and cat groomer. Any medication prescribed for your cat may be continued during its stay with us as Joy is also trained in administering any medication that is necessary. Should it be necessary twenty four hour veterinary attendance is assured.

Beds & Toys

All guests are supplied with moulded beds lined with a fleece inner bed. If your cat has his/her own bed at home or  toys you are most welcome to bring these with you to help it settle as anything familiar helps your pet to settle well.

Diet & Feeding

Individual dietary requirements are catered for, and prepared in hygienic conditions. Regular mealtimes are strictly adhered to. To make sure your pet is happy with his/her food he/she will be fed its normal home diet to avoid any risks of upset tummy. All boarders are fed three times a day, water is available all the time and is changed three times a day. Older cats, kittens and  those with special dietary needs are given special attention.

Companionship

Your pet will not be lonely during his/her stay as there is always activity throughout the day. The radio is on all day in the cattery and  is turned off after we have checked over the cats at around 10:30pm-11:00pm, to make sure that all the cats are ok until we see them in  the morning. We also often groom the cats throughout the day.

Construction

Constructed and run to Feline Advisory Bureau (FAB) Standards.
Your cat will be content, safe and secure in a purpose built chalet designed to offer maximum comfort and protection.

Housing

Both individual and family chalets are available offering spacious heated accommodation, all with a covered exercise area which includes scratching post and sunning shelf.

Hygiene

Meticulous standards as advised by FAB are followed ensuring your cat is in an environment which is scrupulously clean, with constant supervision and the special care and attention your cat deserves.

Convenience

Situated 5 miles north of Huntingdon town centre and lies off the A1 and A14 on the B1043.Topcat Cattery offers collection and delivery service if required.
The cattery is run by animal loving people. Short and long term stay, inspections welcome.

Grooming
